Lecturers in Fine Art Studio Practice x2

Job Details:
Job Description

Middlesex University is looking for two Lecturers in Fine Art Studio Practices to join the School of Arts in the Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries. The successful candidates will have established fine art practices of their own in one or more studio-based specialisms. They will deliver practice and professional development learning and teaching across the student cohorts on BA Fine Art, MA Fine Art and research degrees.

The roles will be held by developing academics who combine practice-led research with learning and teaching, and knowledge transfer and a broader contribution to the study of fine art. The study of Fine Art has a long and illustrious history at Middlesex University, originating in Hornsey College of Art.

It is global in character and outlook, yet with deep roots in the London art world. Now located on the university’s Hendon campus, Fine Art courses benefit from state-of-the-art facilities and resources in the £80m Grove building, widely regarded as some of the best art and design resources in UK higher education.

Practice-based learning lies at the heart of the university’s philosophy. The Lecturers in Fine Art Studio Practice will use their own art practices, and their knowledge of the art world’s structures and the theories and practices that inform them, to develop emerging artists.
