The Centre for Policing in the School of Law and Social Sciences at Middlesex University offer an exciting opportunity for a full-time Lecturer to join our friendly and dynamic team.
Middlesex University hosts one of the world’s longest-established Criminology Departments with a strong focus on applied criminological research. As lead provider in a national consortium of four Higher Education Institutions, we play a key role in delivering professional policing programmes. These include the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA), which we currently provide in collaboration with Surrey Police, Sussex Police, Thames Valley Police, and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary.
We are looking to complement our existing team through the appointment of a scholar practitioner who has experience of delivering high quality teaching programmes and facilitation of learning within a university and/or in practice settings. The successful candidate will have a student-centred approach with experience of delivering high quality pastoral care in the professional policing context. They will be able to work collaboratively, with a track record of high-quality partnership working.
