The Social Work Group within the Department of Mental Health and Social Work are seeking to appoint a fixed term Lecturer in Social Work post to join their highly successful and dynamic team of social work academics. Are you: 

•Interested in joining a dynamic and collegiate group of social work academics within a department that provides an inter-professional working environment and experience? 

•Keen to influence the future of social work – to be the best that it can be? 

•Someone with a passion for delivering high-quality social work education, engage in social work research and practice developments.

The applicant will have a proven background in social work education and practice and will be currently registered with Social Work England. 

Enhanced DBS check will be required for these posts. 

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires a Disclosure and Barring Service certificate. You are therefore required to disclose details of any criminal record. ALL criminal convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings, even if they would otherwise be regarded as spent under this Act must be disclosed, as well as any other information that may have a bearing on your suitability for the post, including pending prosecutions.

The University will apply for a DBS certificate before your appointment is confirmed.
