Help Us Turn Data into Insight at Middlesex University

Are you passionate about transforming data into powerful, actionable insight? We’re looking for a talented and forward-thinking Tableau Developer to join our newly established Planning and Analytics team within the Strategic Planning and Performance Directorate. This is a unique opportunity to shape how data is visualised and used across the University, supporting strategic decision-making and driving continuous improvement in a diverse and ambitious institution.

As Tableau Developer, you will:

* Design and deliver high-impact dashboards and visual analytics using Tableau, helping stakeholders across the University understand performance and trends.

* Lead the development of a standardised reporting architecture, ensuring consistency, clarity, and usability across all business intelligence outputs.

* Collaborate with colleagues in planning, performance, and IT to build scalable, efficient solutions that meet evolving business needs.

* Support the development of regular reporting cycles and deep-dive analysis across key areas such as recruitment, admissions, student progression, and outcomes.

* Champion best practice in data visualisation, automation, and user engagement, helping to embed a culture of evidence-based decision-making.

You’ll bring:

* Strong experience in Tableau development, including dashboard design, data modelling, and platform administration.

* A track record of delivering insight through visual analytics and reporting tools.

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling stories for a range of audiences.

* A collaborative mindset, with the confidence to engage stakeholders and influence decision-making.

* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on turning data into impact, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is excited by the opportunity to shape how analytics supports strategic planning at Middlesex.
