Within the Business School, the Marketing, Branding and Tourism Department has over 40 academic staff and is going from strength to strength in student outcomes and research outputs. As part of our development programme to further advance and expand our academic excellence, we are seeking to appoint an Associate Lecturer and/or Lecturer in Marketing/Branding, able to teach a broad range of marketing topics. Numerical and quantitative skills and the ability to teach marketing consultancy, digital marketing, and/or social media marketing are essential. In addition, the ability to teach general areas of marketing such as branding, international marketing, business and digital analytics is desirable.

You should preferably have experience in undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching. Experience of development and leadership of modules will also be helpful. You should preferably be able to demonstrate innovativeness in your approach to teaching and engagement with external stakeholders.

The Department is on an accelerating trajectory of excellence in research outputs. For the Lecturer post, you must have or for the Associate Lecturer post, shortly expect to gain a PhD or other doctorate and be able to demonstrate capability or potential to achieve research outputs of international excellence. One of Middlesex University’s great strengths is research feeding into teaching. In this connection, a research area of digital marketing/social media marketing will be appropriate. Other research areas such as branding, place branding, retail, consumer behaviour, sustainability and innovation will also fit well into existing research groups and clusters. Our teaching and research are eclectic, and we are also open to discussing other research areas.
