A key member of Financial Services within the University, supporting the Head of Management Accounts with the strategic leadership of the Management Accounting team, including joint responsibility for the management of a team of Finance Business Partners.

You will be responsible for leading (along with the Head of Management Accounts) on providing the strategic and operational financial information, analysis and insight necessary in order to support the University to be financially sustainable and to aid the achievement of its wider strategic objectives.

You will take the lead and have overall responsibility for costing and pricing, including leading on the submission of the University’s annual Transparent Approach to Costing (TRAC) return. In addition, you will be the Finance Business Partner for a number of Services and/ or Academic Faculties.

A fully Qualified Accountant, you will have a strong background in providing financial planning and analysis at both a strategic and operational level, and in providing a comprehensive Finance Business Partnering service.

You will have strong communication, inter-personal and numerical skills, and be pro-active and self-motivated, demonstrably able to provide good quality financial support and advice in a rapidly changing environment with competing demands.
