Have you current experience of working as a technician in a healthcare-focused clinical skills facility?

Middlesex University is building on the achievements in supporting clinical skills development in roles in healthcare, such as Nursing and Midwifery by appointing effective technical support, prepared to combine sound technical practice with the further development of our clinical skills provision. Successful candidates will have strong technical support skills and have a commitment to supporting the clinical skills team in developing our clinical skills provision with key external stakeholders to meet sector needs. They will also be committed to enhancing the student experience and contributing to and developing the rapidly growing research culture of the Department. There will be an expectation that the role-holder will facilitate student learning by supporting drop-in sessions in our skills labs.  

Our ideal candidates will have experience of current work within a healthcare clinical skills facility. Evidence of supporting learners and of developing your own expertise in this setting is desirable at associate lecturer level. You will have excellent communication skills, high level of technical skills and practice application as well as outstanding planning and organizational skills. Ideally, you will have experience of supporting students on nursing and midwifery programmes although relevant training can be given.
