Do you have a passion for practice, teaching, learning, and research?

Have you current practice / management or higher education experience either as a children’s nurse working with all levels of Children’s Nursing students or as a registered healthcare practitioner working in Child Health settings? 

Middlesex University is building on the achievements of its Children and Young Person’s Nursing team by appointing high achieving, dynamic and experienced children’s nursing and child health practitioners, wishing to combine practice with academia. Successful candidates will have strong leadership and practice skills in health care settings and a commitment to developing education in this field of nursing with key external stakeholders to meet sector needs. They will also be committed to enhancing the student experience and contributing to and developing the rapidly growing research culture of the Department. 

Our ideal candidates will have significant experience of working within children and young person’s nursing or healthcare practice. Preference will be given to candidates with experience of working in a hospital or community nursing setting as a children’s nurse or healthcare practitioner. With a relevant first degree you will also be currently registered as a children’s nurse or healthcare practitioner in the United Kingdom. 

We will consider those wishing to take part-time positions.

Possession of a teaching qualification and relevant higher degree is desirable at lecturer level. You will have excellent communication skills, a high level of clinical skills and practice application as well as outstanding planning and organizational skills.
