The Department of Mental Health and Social Work offer exciting opportunities for  3 Associate Lecturers (Practice) in Social Work. Two posts are London based and one post is available for remote working for interested candidates residing in the Midlands, North West or North East of England.

We are seeking to appoint three new academic staff to join our growing Department of Mental Health and Social Work. The posts are available for interested social work academics to teach and tutor on the Think Ahead, MA Social Work programme where Middlesex University is the academic partner www.thinkahead.org.uk. The Social Work Academic Group, where these posts will be located, is part of the Department of Mental Health and Social Work which is an exciting, multidisciplinary group of academics and technical staff, with three active research centres in the areas of addictions, co-production and transcultural health. 

You will be working within a Department and Faculty that embraces breadth and depth of research themes and priorities and you will play an active role in engaging in delivering research informed teaching. Successful candidates will have a proven background in UK social work practice; plus academic qualifications at postgraduate level (normally masters).

 Candidates should have the ability to deliver high quality teaching and facilitation of learning within a HEI environment and/or in practice settings; drawing on knowledge across social work including in relation to mental health primarily, plus adult practice and with children and families. As the Think Ahead programme is a national programme, students will be undertaking their practice experience across England and travel to some placement sites will be required by academic staff.
