The European Human Rights Advocacy Centre (EHRAC) is looking for a new Development Officer.

This role will suit an innovative and experienced fundraiser who will enjoy developing and implementing fundraising strategies and plans; identifying new sources of funding and new approaches to fundraising; and developing relationships with donors, international partners and partners in our target region.

The post holder will be involved with all aspects of the grant management cycle, such as identifying new funding opportunities, drafting bids and proposals, donor reporting and monitoring of grant expenditure and project results. They will also play an important role in ensuring our programmes are adequately funded, and our grant-funded activities are delivered on time and to budget. Working closely with partners in the target region, they will also ensure we maximize joint fundraising opportunities and joint proposals are well designed and well presented.

EHRAC is an independently funded legal centre based within the School of Law at Middlesex University. We seek to build the capacity of human rights defenders in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia and Ukraine through joint litigation on the most pressing human rights issues in the region, such as conflict, freedom of assembly, violence against women, LGBT+ rights, discrimination and more.
