The Department of Design Engineering and Mathematics is a dynamic and a progressive department, flourishing with its innovative curriculum and practice, located within the Faculty of Science and Technology. The department delivers high quality teaching and research across several disciplines that includes Mathematics, Design Engineering (Electronics, Mechatronics and Robotics), Product Design, Architectural Technology and Building Information Modelling. 

The University is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Product Design Engineering to complement our current academic team. This is a full time, 1-year fixed term appointment based at the University’s Hendon Campus in North London. We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic applicant who can contribute to teaching on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and who will also be able to contribute to the research and professional practice profile of the Department, Faculty and University. The post requires an enthusiastic team player and engaging confident teacher, who has product design industry knowledge and skills. It is essential that candidates demonstrate an understanding of: design processes; human-centred design; product prototyping skills (physical and digital); CAD modelling and visualisation; design for manufacture, design analysis and material selection, design engineering fundamentals.

As in any academic position, the role will also involve the administrative duties associated with a busy academic and research-active environment.
