            <p id="isPasted"><strong>Enhanced rate &pound;59.33 per hour</strong> (including Outer London Weighting)<br><strong>Basic rate &pound;23.73 per hour</strong> (including Outer London Weighting)</p><p>The School of Design is seeking to appoint an Hourly Paid Lecturer in UI UX and Digital Product to join the Creative Design Department. This role is suited to an experienced practitioner-academic with a strong understanding of contemporary UX, UI and digital product design, and the rapidly evolving landscape of digital technologies.</p><p>We are looking for an individual who can deliver high-quality teaching across user experience design, user interface design, product strategy, interaction design, design systems, user research, prototyping and digital product development. The successful candidate will have current professional knowledge of industry-standard tools and workflows and an informed understanding of how AI, emerging technologies and changing user behaviours are transforming digital product design and innovation.</p><p>The successful candidate will contribute to teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supporting students in developing creative, user-centred and industry-informed design solutions. They will be able to translate contemporary professional practice into engaging learning experiences, helping students develop practical skills in UX research, interface design, prototyping, usability testing, digital product thinking and responsible AI-enabled design practice.</p><p>Offered within the Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries, the UI UX and Digital Product programmes are collaborative and interdisciplinary, encouraging students to work across design, technology and innovation. The curriculum embraces emerging digital practices, including AI-assisted design, service design, design systems, accessibility and inclusive design, preparing graduates for careers in a rapidly changing digital landscape.</p><p>The rate of pay is &pound;59.33 per hour for each hour of contact teaching. This rate is 2.5 x the basic rate which is derived from the first spinal point of Middlesex&#39;s Grade 7 (Lecturer), with a yearly increment if the work continues beyond one year. For each term there is a further two weeks of pay at the basic rate for each nominal contact hour to cover end of term assessment.</p><p>We value diversity amongst our students and staff and welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates, regardless of background.
